Left wet and windy Holyhead in Wales to arrive in lovely sunny #Dublin today. Irish Sea a bit choppy, but luckily weโ€™ve travelled ahead of #StormDave.

Had a wander around the city. Hadnโ€™t been for 25 years, but recognised much more than I expected to.

My partner made me take this photo because it strangely contains a word I unfortunately spend much of my working life talking about - #asbestos.

But I loved the contrasts of the different murals against each other and the sky.

Weโ€™ve got tomorrow morning left to spend in #Dublin and the kids and grandparents have said they want to go to a #museum.

Any recommendations for which one would be best for a big age range? We donโ€™t mind history, art or anything a bit quirky, but are open to any ideas!

@JugglingWithEggs a few years ago I enjoyed seeing how much Celtic gold was on display at the Museum of Archaeology on Kildare Street.
The exhibition of 'bog bodies' there was very powerful.

@PeterGray

Thanks for the suggestion - we took it up and were not disappointed. Sooo much gold! And the bog bodies I think will stay with me for a very long time.

@JugglingWithEggs That line, from the "El Dorado" cartoon film, is exactly what I said after visiting. ๐Ÿ˜†

I thought the bog bodies exhibit was really sensitively done. It opened my mind to the whole issue of displaying human remains (ugly phrase, I know) and on a wider front - how artefacts are often on display in museums far from their land of origin.

Safe journey home...
