2 links at end but here, #KeePassXC explain how AI helps them with code review. Point 1 flat out doesn’t make sense to me and I think point 1 causes more headaches than they let on and point 2 just made me laugh. They claim, over and over again, that the app is *not* vibe coded, but come on, I believe if you accept LLM generated code, even from outside people, it *is* vibe coded. Bletch. Remind me why they didn't agree with the KeePass developer again? https://keepassxc.org/blog/2025-11-09-about-keepassxcs-code-quality-control/

And if you want a list of projects that do not use AI at all, https://noai.starlightnet.work/list.html

About KeePassXC’s Code Quality Control – KeePassXC

KeePassXC Password Manager

@WeirdWriter Radioactive. I wouldn’t trust it with my grocery reminders.
@WeirdWriter Well, it’s not vibe-coded. You can check the PRs that are AI assisted and see how they’ve been reviewed (have there been any merged after November?). I don’t use AI and I develop KeePassXC. Should I now abandon the project? The alternatives have been using AI way longer and they don’t even disclose where they’ve used it 🤷🏼‍♂️
At least KeePassXC tries to be extremely open and transparent about this. And people can still use AI and not disclose it. What then?
@varjolintu I'd rather use tools and software that don't use LLMs at all, even as assistances like https://noai.starlightnet.work/list.html
Starlight Network No-AI List

@WeirdWriter Then Gnome Secrets might be the choice for you. It hasn’t been using any AI as far as I know. Any other options already use it. Original KeePass has no info (or public repository) about it.
@WeirdWriter
Their info strikes me as responsible handling of LLM output. If something is reviewed line-by-line, it's not vibe-coded by my definition. All not too different than lifting code from a forum or other software and tweaking it to your needs.
