I Write LikeMarkdown makes me think of that teacher I had decades ago. We wrote down lectures longhand, and some were obsessed with pretty stationery and multicolored pens. The teacher used to say: you don't need all that! Just underline twice and it's your main heading. Underline once and this is your subheading.
One principle for everything: declutter and you'll be free.

@daj I love it too! It feels like a superpower -- a few magic spells here and there and your formatting looks the way you need it to. Even if it's limited, it's all yours, and you don't depend on or get distracted by any other tools.
