Ok, people, I can't find definitive answers online, so tell me, do you pre-cook/soften the lasagna sheets before layering the ingredients, or do you use the hard sheets right out of the box when layering?

@eliskunk the lasagna sheets I use are pre-cooked, so I usually don't boil them. Sometimes I soften them by submerging them in water. But usually they cook themselves in the oven with the sauce.
@ccriss92 hm, i didn't know pre-cooked sheets existed. No idea what mine are :/
@eliskunk most lasagna sheets are pre-cooked, I think. That's because the instructions of the package usually say that they cook in the oven, without needing to boil them first.
@eliskunk las pongo en agua caliente hasta que se ablandan, para poder colocarlas y rellenar los huecos más fácil ❤️
@bela vale, sí, algo así me imaginaba, gracias ^^
@eliskunk as my mother said to me: if is fresh pasta, not need to pre-cook. if they are hard, then yes

@eliskunk There seem to be some that want to be pre-cooked, but then it should be stated on the box. In my lasagna I never pre-cook - but I make sure I add enough sauce. If I were to only layer idk meat and cheese, there wouldn't be enough liquid for the pasta to cook through.

Before I eat the lasagna, I will poke the pasta layers with a fork or similar to find out if the pasta is soft enough already.

@eliskunk i've made lasagne for years and i always used the hard sheets :)
