Ok, people, I can't find definitive answers online, so tell me, do you pre-cook/soften the lasagna sheets before layering the ingredients, or do you use the hard sheets right out of the box when layering?

@eliskunk the lasagna sheets I use are pre-cooked, so I usually don't boil them. Sometimes I soften them by submerging them in water. But usually they cook themselves in the oven with the sauce.

@eliskunk most lasagna sheets are pre-cooked, I think. That's because the instructions of the package usually say that they cook in the oven, without needing to boil them first.
