After the warmest march in recorded history the snow is gone, this is from around this time 3 years ago 😊

P.S if your country doesn’t have the freedom to roam https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_to_roam there’s something inherently wrong.

@NickEast_IndieWriter @outdoor @nature @photography @[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] @hiking Even though I love the concept of freedom to roam, worldwide it is more the exception then the rule. It is mostly countries with viking influence that have it, noteably England, and therefore a waterered down version of the concept was inherited by other anglosaxon countries like New Zealand, Australia etc. Austria is much stricter on access on private land, especially production forests than the Nordics. The latin countries in Europe do not have freedom to roam on uncultivated private land. In Italy it is even stranger: hikers cannot pass, but if you carry a rifle for hunting you are allowed to roam uncultivated private land. Luckily there are a lot of National Parks that are managed differently.
@hikeabruzzo I am aware, but I think it should be the rule and not the exception... 😊
@NickEast_IndieWriter I agree. I'd love to see a European initiative for that.
@hikeabruzzo If someone starts one let me know I'll definitely sign it 😊
