@ginaintheburg Um, Good Friday is the one day out of the year where Mass isn't celebrated. Extra Communion wafers are consecrated on Holy Thursday.

I know Catholics do not celebrate a full Mass on Good Friday. They do, hwvr, traditionally hold a distinct liturgy on Good Friday. The article immediately makes the distinction btwn a liturgical service & a full mass. But it's a distinction I'm sure Hegseth isn’t aware of or making. That's why the memo referred to "mass." There was no Catholic religious svc of any kind being offered for Good Friday.
