@kbm0 not quite the same functionality, but there is https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/1053

(btw, thx for replying that! I use LibreOffice myself (if not LaTeX), and would quite like such a equivalent too)

@egonw I have it installed on both a desktop and laptop but I can't say I've really used it for anything serious... I've played around with it occasionally but no more. In fact when I just fired it up I was told the version I had was too old and it couldn't do something or other and I should update, which I did on the desktop.
