Start calling 'AI' what it actually is. Generative Technology. You can call it something else as a shorthand like Generative Tech or Gen Tech or even GT if you like, but stop calling it AI.

That language is a trick by people trying to sell you a scam of a product that is often wrong about the questions it answers (because it's programmed to agree with you, not to deliver correct information) and is being used to disenfranchise real artists -who actually took the time and put in the effort to learn this skill- even more than we historically already have been.
And it’s bad for the environment to boot. As far as the chatbots go, just call that what it is too. A large language model. Stop being tricked by the label of ‘AI’, this shit isn’t intelligent. It’s just a highly sophisticated guessing machine. It guesses what the next word in a sentence should be. That’s all it is. There’s no thought behind those mechanical parts. It guesses.
That’s why the answer it spits out to the exact same questions can be different ten times when asked by ten different people. It guesses what you want to hear.
