Microsoft's Copilot ToS: "for entertainment purposes only."
Also Microsoft: $30/seat in your Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Training on your code April 24th. Same model, different price tag, quieter fine print.

Bonus Post! — the ToS was too good to sit on.

For Entertainment Purposes Only (Bonus Post!) - ByteHaven - Where I ramble about bytes

Microsoft's own terms say don't trust Copilot with anything important. They'd also like $30 a seat to put it in your spreadsheets. Part of the ongoing Big...

@ppb1701 "This is the same Copilot that Microsoft sells for enterprise..."

No, it is not. The consumer #Copilot is of course a separate product. And M365 Copilot is completely separate from GitHub Copilot. And so on.

Sure, the consumer app ToS is funny shit. But the real tragedy is the vast array of disconnected AI experiences inside Microsoft's product portfolio.

@jukkan I meant the under the hood. Likely being about the same. Product wise they are geared towards different things.

I could be wrong though

@ppb1701 Well, one talks with Microsoft 365 tenant data and the other one doesn't. I bet entirely different product teams at Microsoft built these. Because a company like Microsoft needs tens of different teams making their own shittier version of ChatGPT after Satya Nadella decided to fund OpenAI.
@jukkan hmmm yeah I could see that. honestly that might partially explain the haphazard settings and multiple places instead of coherrant settings for it in one spot
@jukkan @ppb1701 I still can't get over how Nadella tried to claim in public that they had "social permission" !!! The brass neck! The gall of this disingenuous huckster.

@bms48 @ppb1701 At least when it comes to OpenClaw, Satya Nadella acknowledged he doesn't have the permission to launch something like that.

#OpenClaw

@bms48 @ppb1701 Of course, the CEO comparing OpenClaw to a virus didn't stop Microsoft from establishing a new team tasked with integrating M365 and the virus:
