The auto-nerdsniping of building a CA Keybox continues and I have to know when to stop with the too-far-thing-taking. So if you want SMART &maybe TRIM, go to SATA-CompactFlash and industrial CF. Going to SATA-microSD is only slightly cheaper &just buys you TRIM. It then becomes a case of are you happy air-wiring, do you need to mount internally, is swappable CF better than internal microSD, etc. FreeBSD will happily do nonpageable memory filesystems for keying material; for Win11, try OSFMount.

It's a win-win, baby! Every time Keir Starmer acts like a victim, I give more money to my VPN provider! And hopefully Burnham is going to kick his arse! I spent entirely too much time on Emporio Bezos this morning, but now I have my industrial SLC keystore with TRIM on a SATA port internally, and my UPS is deployed; just have to configure nut just right, maybe even move it to an SBC and go full-blown remote-managed with my spare 4G LTE kit no-one responded to donations@ for.

I used to respect Software Freedom Conservancy, they seemed to be aligned with my values. Lately... our values started to drift apart, and today, they burned any bridges that may have been left.

There is one choice, and only once choice for a FLOSS project when it faces LLMs: reject them. Anything else is a sign that they're willing to sacrifice their values on the altar of... slop, burnout, and capitalism.

Good job, guys. Good fucking job.

To be fair, it's the logical conclusion of where the finance and real estate industries have been taking us for a long time: once you ascribe more value to the price someone will pay for something in the future than to the function it has now, you might has well sell something that has no useful function at all.
