New, by me: Telehealth giant Hims & Hers confirmed its customer service ticketing system was hacked. A spokesperson said it was a social engineering attack. The hacker stole mostly customer support tickets, including customer names and contact information, but also the contents of customer requests.

The U.S. telehealth giant says hackers stole customer support ticket data over the course of several days in February.

@zackwhittaker This company basically does radio ads for erectile dysfunction pills, unapproved versions of weight loss drugs, mental health group therapy sessions, and also birth control. Some of the stuff that is in customer service requests might actually constitute black male level material in some cases. We're also living in an environment where things like abortion pills and birth control can get you in legal jeopardy.
@zackwhittaker Another possible motive is the lawsuit between this company and a maker of a popular weight loss drug, whose makers claim that Hims and Hers has been making unfounded and not scientifically justified claims about the efficacy of their product relative to the expensive injectables. A large batch of customer support tickets might be useful fodder in such a lawsuit.
