Pretty sure local dumps in the UK were renamed 'recycling centres' to discourage middle-class people from fly-tipping last summer's garden furniture outside Sue Ryder in the dead of night.

For anyone outside the UK, "Council Tips / Dumps" referred to Municipal Waste Disposal Centres, not certain towns, cities, neighbourhoods...
But easy mistake to make.

@Mabande @AnguaDelphine @anon_opin Sue Ryder is a chain of charity shops that fund palliative care and bereavement services that the NHS could provide if the government would make rich people pay their taxes and thereby fund the NHS properly.
