I don't think that 'condition' is the right word for it. That implies something temporary. And worse yet, in a medical context, means "a disease or illness":
"A biological or psychological state which is within the range of normal human variation is not a medical condition. "

I know that autism as part of "normal human variation" isn't a widely held view yet, but I believe that it is where we are headed.
