@Jason844 Penny made a batch of homemade beef stroganoff the other day and then divided up into serving sizes and froze. She does batch cooking of different dishes then takes off from cooking for a while and does her homemade TV dinners since she is eating for one and she can't cook for one. Still cooks for an army of people.
@paul That's a good way to handle it. I don't normally freeze and store. I'll just have the same main course over several days.

I used to freeze honking great stews and then would unfreeze and by the third day we were pretty tired of the same meal.

Started freezing smaller portions, and was able to have various meals over the course of the week.

I make a "ratatouille" and a "rootatouille" (root vegetable base) batch at the beginning of the month. Unfreeze and add beans, tofu or lentils.

A weekend's worth of cooking can last us most of a month. Unrelated, I wonder what all that microwaving does to me brain?
