Trump threatened Europe over Strait of Hormuz, with weapons for Ukraine as bargaining chip, FT reports

Outraged at European countries' refusal to help the U.S. reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Trump threatened to halt the PURL program selling U.S. weapons to NATO for use in Ukraine, officials told the Financial Times.

I have a better idea. Give Ukraine 10 Tomahawks for every day Europe spends on a strictly defensive mission patrolling the Strait of Hormuz. Payment in advance.
@ilust606 It is unclear how many Tomahawk missiles have remained in U.S. Army stockpiles since the start of the Iran campaign, so it is unlikely that Ukraine should count on receiving these missiles from the U.S., even if Trump and his administration were to approve such a move
@September_UA
It would still be a good poker move on the part of Europe.
It would provide an excuse for Europe to say no.
Given Trump's waste of military resources in Iran, the US may need to buy missiles from Fire Point.
@ilust606 This would certainly be better both for Fire Point itself and for Ukraineโ€™s defense industry as a whole ๐Ÿ˜€
