Someone took a bite out of this. It tried a temporary fix by epoxying it, but epoxy doesn't want to stick into this. It's not an expensive part, but I don't have any in stock. Do I need to get creative here?
With #freecad 1.1 out, let's give it a spin. I freehanded this over a picture of the plunger handle's shape. This'll probably turn into something 3D printable...

I considered both, 3D printing and cnc'ing this. Since it wasn't something you'd notice from normal distance, I saved myself from having to flip this over half-way into the job and just printed it of ABS. Besides I have half a spool of crappy ABS to waste. I hammered and scraped the rest of the old handle away and then made the tolerance in the model so tight it would go over the knurling with slight force. The 3D print has ample surface for the epoxy to hang onto.

#3dprinting

Well there it is. Time to put the game back together. #pinrepair

If you need to make a similar repair, here's the model, ABS seems to work.

@apzpins Nice! Would be an ideal candidate for acetone smoothing.

@tuomas_h I can prototype that later, right now I just wanted the game back in the lineup for Wednesday.

Alhough after I sanded the reverse side with a fine grit sand paper, it's so smooth no one will probably notice it unless it's pointed out.
