Unbelievable: the rpiboot included in ubuntu 24.04 is broken to the point it can't boot a brand new pi CM5 module.

Why doesn't this get a bold warning on the rpi documentation online!? Why do I have to find this on a personal blog?!

On the flip side: I'm so happy for the old web. And that my CM5 boots!

I had to rebuild it from scratch, which took all of one second. Why bother even distributing it with ubuntu if it isn't kept up to date? Wild.

@poleguy Last time I used Ubuntu (more than 10 years ago?) I was getting segmentation faults all over the place. Changed for Debian, all sigfaults gone.
And that was before they introduced Snaps
