@desertsquare many of our allies and friends in the Latino/hispanic community tell us they are afraid to turn out to these high visibility, public events. ICE has been picking up people in the area and fear is real. I’ve been doing a lot of trainings in the community civil rights and how to exercise them prudently.

@desertsquare It stinks. One Spanish-speaking family, Brown, did take me aside and the father said to me, “Thank you for representing those of us without a voice.” I was so moved - and so ashamed of the U.S.
