@flameshot i3 when X and Sway when Wayland
@flameshot can't use Wayland. Have to disable it to get Flameshot to work. Would be happy to use Wayland otherwise.

@shadylane We are in process of getting ready for releasing v14.0.0 in which many Wayland issues such as HiDPI and muli-resolution multi-monitor issues are addressed. You can try getting the latest CI builds from our Github and see if it has solved your issues. If you don't know how to, we have a small help page about that:

@flameshot thanks for that.

I tried to download the latest artifacts for Ubuntu 24.04 on ARM, but just got a message that the log files had expired for that build.

@shadylane
I manually triggered them. They should be now ready. Just explain why they were expired, it is because running Arm builds take 38 to 52 minutes per run, and for that reason we have separated them from our daily builds. So any time you need them and they were expired, send us a message and we will manually run it. Maybe later I set it to automatically run weekly or biweekly, but for now it is run on demand.
@flameshot @shadylane oh, good to know. Flameshot worked flawlessly for me under X11, but since I switched to Wayland, it's not so great (yes, I have two monitors).
@flameshot Any particular reason that these followup questions are "Linux" and not "Linux/BSDs"? Seems like they'd all be applicable to and useful to know about the BSDs too, no?
@flameshot I will admit, I'm not actively using Flameshot, but have considered it in the past. (Still using `maim`/`slop`/``Gromit-MPX` under X in the ancient WM I maintain.)
@morgant
Sorry, that was an oversight. The idea was to ask Windows and macOS users to ignore those questions. Thanks for pointing this out. πŸ‘

@flameshot I thought that might've been the case, but I didn't want to assume.

I _very much_ appreciate you not gathering metrics and polling for such helpul info in other ways, plus the inclusion of BSDs in the first place! Furthermore, that you're polling re: #X11 and DE/WM use. I daily #OpenBSD and the Wayland ports/packages are "getting there," but I don't see it moving into base anytime soon.

Thanks all around for Flameshot and the above!

@flameshot You can count an extra vote for Wayland. I voted x11 because that's where I use Flameshot the most but I actually do both. πŸ™‚
@flameshot Tribblix (an illumos distribution)

@ptribble
Thanks for packaging Flameshot in your OpenSolaris-derived distro 🍻

Perhaps adding Tribblix to repology.org can give more visibility to your awesome project.
