What are you cool kids using to listen to podcasts on the Mac these days?

I've been bearing with Apple Podcasts but its Tahoe iteration is almost as insufferable as Apple Music and I just can't anymore

@nileane Pocket Casts, but that's also just a shitty web thing in a Mac app wrapper.

I guess we need a @matt_birchler app to the rescue? ;)

Don't tell anyone, but I actually made my wife a podcast app dedicated to a single show she listens to over and over every year. Even for that, it was more work than I expected!

@nileane this is part of why I’ve been hoping for a long time for an open podcast sync standard - enabling the use of different Podcast players on different platforms. It wouldn’t solve the macOS issue, but it’d make developing a great macOS experience more worthwhile.

@nileane I had used the Overcast iPad app on the Mac but it’s incredibly buggy in Tahoe. I just use the Overcast web app now.
