Today, a coalition of European enterprises and community organisations has launched Euro-Office, a solution for editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations, developed as a true sovereign community collaboration of over a dozen different organisations. Yes, there's no need for another office suite. LibreOffice is an excellent suite of applications, and it's free to use. Donations are always welcome, but not required.

@VikingChieftain @Gurre @ErikJonker If you want a solution with a shared document store on a server (for instance Nextcloud), and web-based editing in your browser, which many organisations do, Collabora Online is what you want. Based on LibreOffice core technology, sure.

Note that the Collabora Productivity company does not offer such a service itself. It is up to its customers to run it on their own infrastructure, for their users.
