New instance, new #introduction post!

I'm a photographer based on Halifax, NS, Canada, though my day job is as a software developer. My main interests are, in no particular order, #photography, home #baking & #cooking, #programming, #security, #equality, and #cats. Many others, but yeah.

My own posts will be mostly photography focused, and with that, here's a photo of my fluffy boy.

@LovingFalloutLondon1954 Well, I quite like it here, it's a good sized city with decent amenities. We don't draw in the large entertainment acts, if that's your thing, but the people are usually quite friendly, the food is good, and the surrounding province has some spectacular scenery. It used to be fairly affordable to live here, but we're on the (hopefully) tail end of housing shortages, so housing in the city especially is quite expensive, sadly.

@kasmir Don't care about the entertainment. Friendly people who don't drive like Italians (tailgating!) would be nice. 'My friend' is not really city people anyway but needs to be close to hospitals. 'He' intends to come up and look things over in the future. Getting a residence visa is the big issue for 'him' and his family.

@LovingFalloutLondon1954 Yeah your friend would probably do fine then 😄 We've got a few hospitals, which are decidedly overworked and understaffed, but present and reasonably competent. Getting a visa would definitely be the harder part though, yeah.
