Me at the Judkins Park light rail station opening, having got up at 5:30am:

Both Senators have reserved seats for the jazz performance so if they don't show up, I'm sitting in Maria Cantwell's seat, then challenging her in the primaries.
The only politician that showed up in time to see the kids play jazz was Dow Constantine! And he's not really a politician! He's a CEO! But it's their their loss, because those kids played great 👍

We bailed once the music was over, and wow, was it busy. And the line for Judkins Park station was extremely long! I love that so many people are hyped for the train ♥️

The rest of the day was: restore stats after waking up so early, then take the 7 to catch the 50 to West Seattle to see @zompus receive his INSTRUCTOR CORD from his capoeira crew 🥳🎉👏 he had no idea I knew (his mestre texted me), and I am very happy to not keep the secret anymore 👍
(it is also our 17th wedding anniversary today 🥳)

On the way to West Seattle we saw the No Kings protesters take over every corner of the Rainier/Alaska intersection. I only had time to take one picture, but if you're out there: you did amazing sweeties! ♥️

@paparatti congratulations, you crazy kids!

@indi @paparatti You might ask yourself

How did I get here

@paparatti I'm here looking at the pictures and it's amazing to see so many people!
@paparatti Looking forward to voting for you in the senate primary.

@paparatti Dow Constantine gave a surprisingly rousing speech at the first anti-Trump rally when he was still County Executive (and I thought of him as one of the boringly competent locals). I got my sign stapled to a post there and have been carrying it ever since.

Judkins Park had nice art as seen from outside when I was doing trail clearing (wet leaves on the bike trail).

@paparatti you’ll have my vote!
@paparatti
Did they show?
@justin only right when the kids were done. Which was disappointing! Everyone else seemed to enjoy it though.
