A human living in Tacoma, WA with my partner and our two dogs.

Enjoy cooking, crafting, hiking, an occasional run and I’ve been known to ski down a hill now and then.

I have recently have gotten into pottery and sewing as new hobbies having taken local classes recently in Tacoma.

Diversity and inclusion matter!

Oh, I run Tacoma.Community!

Here’s something wholesome for you to give you a reprieve from the world mayhem…

Alex Boucher explores the mystery of how Muppets were realized outdoors. Pre-CGI, of course.

It’s a great analysis with some delightful clips of Jim Henson and his crew.

Facebook users opting to upload their photos for “cloud processing” are inadvertently giving Meta AI access to their entire camera roll, including photos that have not been uploaded to Facebook’s servers.

this sticker, from Sam Pao, hits so hard-- powerfully reframing the situation in a quick-to-read, & hard-to-unsee way

Does anyone in the Seattle area have after-hours access to a cool rooftop, or some other visually distinctive, interstitialy industrial zone of some kind? Somewhere a keyboard cowboy could be doing k-rad hacks in the shadows? I want to film a very silly cold open for the cyberdeck video, and I can't figure out a good location for it.

Hey Mastodon, could you help me spread the word about my Etsy shop? A sale or two would be a colossal help.

All of my creations are designed, hand-sewn, hand-embroidered by me. Each takes many hours to make.

I would like to mute all "Automated" bots in the Federated Timeline (it's kind of fun doing it one at a time (!), but that's getting old). I only want to see posts made by people, so muting bots would be a start. Anyone know a way to do that?
Rebuilt a deck with some rot in ~18 hrs. Railings are temporary. Hoping to finish with cedar and pickets as time and client funds allow. Good project.
