I once worked at a USPS remote encoding center in Gary processing unreadable addresses one Christmas season as a temp in the 1990s.

The old building is now a charter school across the street from a senior midrise building.

The shift started in the evening with incoming mail then ended when outgoing mail was processed.

I enjoyed this job, but only did it for a couple of months.

One REC remains b/c computers can read most handwriting.
