Nanoraptormore keyboards should have obtuse parts. things that aren't needed. switches that will never be touched.
num lock. static lock. try. try not. F15. unpipe and unpipe 2.
Andrew Zonenberg@NanoRaptor I would use as many function keys as I could get my hands on for some stuff.
In KiCAD I rebound F1...F10 to "switch to layer N" since I normally don't do boards with >10 layers.
AMS@azonenberg @NanoRaptor ...I do that +F12 on my 122-key. (So F13 is layer 1, F14 is layer 2, &c.)
@AMS @NanoRaptor i rarely if ever use the default functions bound to f1...f10 so i just unbound them
