@tangleofwires not proofread much is it

@tangleofwires

am i missing something? i have always understood this song, which i enjoy and listen to often, to be, if not explicitly 'pro-trans' (we don't know lola's gender identity), at least very much pro-drag and pro-queer. certainly NOT transphobic.

#gender #trans #queer #lgbtqia #rocknroll

@saltywizard @tangleofwires Being charitable, Moby is odd. This isn't the first strange fight he's picked; see e.g. https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/moby-many-monstrous-accusations/
Moby and the many monstrous accusations that have followed him

After being in the news following comments about The Kinks single 'Lola', it's worth revisiting some of Moby's other outlandish accusations.

@pak21 The funny thing is, he was a great interviewee when I spoke to him about punk rock a couple of years ago, but then there's also all the 'odd' stuff...

@saltywizard

@saltywizard Don't think it's you missing something - if the song's good enough for Jayne County, it's good enough for me

@tangleofwires

Haha, fuck Moby's shit-take

@tangleofwires @wendinoakland I’ve been asking that for a while. Not the first time Moby has acted a lot like Morrissey.

@tangleofwires is it a slop website or was it just speed written by a human and not proof read like my toots (or is Moby really talking in the third person voice in this scenario)

"Who is Moby?" Moby asks Moby of Moby.

@falcennial I'm guessing understaffed/junior newsroom and speed-written, but it can be difficult to tell these days
