Hello @tmallafre, as you know this isn’t a decision we can take on our own. We put forward a proposal to end seasonal clock changes back in 2018, supported by the European Parliament, but the national governments within the Council have not yet taken a position. Nevertheless, we believe a coordinated solution in the seasonal clock changes is still achievable, and remain focused on fostering consensus among Member States.

@kaito02 @EUCommission come now, we can't have actual changes take root, that would be too upsetting to the economic order of things! Better to do the most performative things such as disabling lights for an hour once a year for 2 decades! Look how well it worked! Climate change got stopped right before it was too late! Utopia achieved and all the EU bureaucrats can keep their nice paychecks, oh joy oh joy.

Lately there's been a bit of talk about the electric grid. For example, in the UK they are (planning to?) offering free electricity when the production is higher than consumption, to stabilize the grid so they don't have to turn off wind turbines and stuff like that.

Of course this earth hour thing is scheduled, so the power plants can prepare for it, but I do wonder if its doing more bad than good?

I mean obviously saving electricity is good but would be interesting to know what sort of preparations the electricity providers will have to do because of this. I don't know if its a joke or not but I've heard that during big football matches the UK electricity providers have to prepare for the intermission because so many people go put the kettle on.

@EUCommission ein Symbol nicht mehr wie wäre es Kohle Gas und Öl zurück zu fahren, wie wäre es mit Nachhaltigen Verkehr für alle ein Europaticket für 30€ im Monat im Nahverkehr für 1000€ im Jahr im Fernverkehr (Könnte ich mir auch nicht mehr leisten). Wie wäre es mit mehr EU Solarparks die die Energie für die Bürgererzeugen wie wäre es KI zu regulieren die unmengen an Energie und Rohstoffen verbrät für Fun.
