I've been wanting to monitor my energy usage. Some time back I asked Mastodon about favorite smart plugs, and the ones that use #Zigbee seem to be preferred.

After @geerlingguy did a review on the new ThirdReality smart plugs, I finally bought a few, along with a USB dongle to communicate over Zigbee.

So far I'm very happy. Really impressed with #homeassistant instantly recognizing the dongle, and the 1-click device setup. No dumb phone apps needed to use them. #IoT
