UPDATE: What comes up first in search engines is some kind of spam website. (Doh!). So this is not a real airport site.

What comes up as Atlanta Airport's website generates TSA wait times based on this function. (figured out the site is actually fake/misleading)

(yes, they are generating wait times by multiplying a random number times 11 and adding 5).

You can verify this by going to a different browser/computer and you will get a whole set of completely random numbers for TSA line wait times.

@ai6yr I've confirmed that MCO is using an API call to an external service. Whether the external service is using a legit algorithm I do not know.

Personal anecdote: I flew out of ATL Friday (3/20/26) and the line for TSA PreCheck looked worse than the actual. I went through all the looping lines and it still took 1 hour to make it out. ATL is uniquely dumb as all 190 gates are funneled through the same TSA checkpoints.
