@dee Not sure about the UK as a place.
But yes, the thought of a small mostly self sustaining community (not wanting to be an eremite) is tempting.

@doppelgrau I really wish the "move country" narrative would end, it's really hard to do that for the vast majority of people if not actually impossible. Brexit happened, I've no family ties to other countries, am trans, work limits where I could go, I'm older and pensions and health won't transfer to other places at equivalence... Safety within the country we have rights to is the only realistic path. This narrative didn't hurt me greatly as I lead I fairly privileged standard of living in the UK, but for most who read it, it's crushing.

@doppelgrau that's ok ❤️ I just think it's important to kill that narrative. It hurts so many, and with global war looming it will only hurry move as further restrictions emerge.
