So I read this article.

And then I remembered a slice of the islamophobic remarks that really pissed me off back 'round '03, '05, that time period.

'cuz there was a meme going around at the time that I recall, where various people would say that you couldn't trust muslims because their religion says they can lie in certain exigent circumstances, therefore they are all liars and untrustworthy.

And putting that together with the whole "every accusation is a confession" thing that conservatives tend towards,

and considering that people who make their religion a substantive part of their being tend towards conservative beliefs as a comorbid condition,

I'm kinda thinking that people who strongly identify as christian are likely to lie, and to do so with the rationalization that it's "necessary" or some shit.

Which, yes, not really news, but this particular thoughtline was an interesting connection to make given this article.
