Tesla "cybertrucks" have locked passengers inside and burned so hot they've disintegrated drivers' bones. States should designate vehicles which can lock passengers in as unsafe and illegal to drive on a road.

Any sane engineer should have walked away from idiot who suggested (almost)purely electric door handles.
It's stupid on SO many levels, but mainly in case of accident, you will loose electricity to open the door from outside.

It's design 101 - how NOT to design safe doors.
You should always have some fall back way to open doors when everything fails.

@FandaSin @rms kind of what I’d expect from a Nazi Truck, when in doubt lock’m in! 🔥
@rms In the US, the most infamously dangerous vehicle ever sold to the public was the Ford Pinto hatchback. Yet over 10 years and 3M units, Pinto only killed 27 people. CT's present rate of 14.5 fatalities / 100K units is 17 TIMES *HIGHER* than Pinto's. Where is the public outcry? This is far and away the deadliest vehicle ever to hit America's roads, yet it's still being sold.
@wesdym @rms Why are you surprised? When pedophile shitbag Nazis are in charge, shit is what we all get, 24/7. #Epstein #Trump #GOP
@kristen_d The extremely sad thing is I'm NOT surprised, for exactly the reasons you say. But it sure is a really bad look for us. That dumpster is already banned in countries better and smarter than ours.

Just yesterday:

13yo: Why would *anyone* buy a car that's known to catch on fire and explode?!?

me: they see swastikars as a status symbol

13yo: so...they're gonna risk their lives and their *kids'* lives just to show off?!?

me: welcome to rich people

“Trucks should be manly. They should be macho,” Musk told podcaster Joe Rogan in an October interview. “And bulletproof is maximum macho.”

I just can't anymore.
