Tesla "cybertrucks" have locked passengers inside and burned so hot they've disintegrated drivers' bones. States should designate vehicles which can lock passengers in as unsafe and illegal to drive on a road.
Any sane engineer should have walked away from idiot who suggested (almost)purely electric door handles.
It's stupid on SO many levels, but mainly in case of accident, you will loose electricity to open the door from outside.
It's design 101 - how NOT to design safe doors.
You should always have some fall back way to open doors when everything fails.
