We have shortbread cookies but I've never seen a longbread cookie. I feel like it should be a sweetened baguette or similar?

@jpm i was thinking more like the German pastry, i forget the name, that is like 10x as long as its diameter and filled with vanilla cream.

A cookie like texture in that form factor would definitely be longbread

Sourdough is a bread, but sweetbreads are not.

@azonenberg what do you get if you make shortbread without any shortening?

@azonenberg more like a sweet cracker. Butter is usually the shortening, without that you just have sugar and flour
