Instead of age verification laws, children should be given a Macintosh SE preinstalled with Hypercard and THINK Pascal so they make their own games and applications. if they try to use a different type of computer before turning 18 they will be instantly electrocuted

@aeva @hannah I had a whole secondary identity, with a workplace, home address, and other lore. One time someone found some of the details and "doxxed" me, and I was silently snickering about it to myself.

@hannah I'm a traditionalist. I think they should be given 8-bit computers, and a programming language you can only learn from documentation in a 3-ring binder.

@tilton @hannah The SE/30 was cool, IIRC you could put an Ethernet card in it. Which is the only way anyone under the age of majority should use the Internet, as well.
