The last LG SmartFridge is desperately emailing its last owner that they are low on orange juice.
The satellites still left, their orbits decaying, dutifully relay the message.
The automated "away from office" response turns on, as it always does, notifying the refrigerator that it's owner will likely return to the office in 3-5 business days.
A pack of roombas, the local wind turbines giving out, search for the next functional docking station.
A washing machine tweets: "anyone need to do a load" every Saturday at 1:30 a.m. eastern standard time.
The replies are filled with Al thirstposters and their hypebots.

Unbeknownst to either, the octopi are mastering nuclear fusion."

Attached: 1 image @wendinoakland i ❤️ SF short stories. my happiest memories are getting an anthology at the airport shop and burying my head in it. reading is so much more satisfying than watching a film. yet here we are. @TheBreadmonkey @Nerde @[email protected] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There_Will_Come_Soft_Rains_(short_story)
I hate to be *that guy* but this is likely Ai, which is what I was trying to avoid, sorry!
So yes that account is just a collection of stuff including Ai gen images. However I did a reverse image search using TinEye and earliest was Sep 5 2010 from this site - https://simonwarmer.nl/commissions/octoconceptboostingnvdk.
Which looks like a commissioned piece of work, but then I couldn't be bothered to check any further, but it looks like I stand corrected. Excellent piece of work for not Ai and means I've fallen foul of one of my least favourite new common responses to anything, which is to immediately just say 'that's Ai'. Sorry everyone!
@TheBreadmonkey Here’s an image related to the “Octodad: Dadliest Catch” video game! There’s lots of graphics and fan art of Octodad, who is a secretly an octopus. He often wears suits as he navigates the world. It’s a pretty cool little independent game…
@TheBreadmonkey best I could do this morning and when drawing the suit i realised actually they're all legs so this is wrong. But went with it anyway
Octodad is better looking.
This is EXCELLENT thank you
I'm wondering how octopuses come to know of solar panels, not usually installed in the ocean.
Do they walk among us? Some sort of (octo)pod monsters in people suits, like in that Dr Who story?
I give you instead a picture of the Octopus' Garden.
@TheBreadmonkey Will this suffice? It's the best I can offer with the amount of effort I want to go to.
She's not wearing a suit, but she is behind a very expensive desk.
That's because your search query did not please The Great Old Ones!!
Tried "Cthulhu in a Suit" and found this
