this was me ten years ago. I used that cambridge analytica scandal as the impetus to delete my account

the reality was that my friends (probably better described as contacts at that point) kept posting the most basic, inane shit that i ended up muting virtually everybody.
the home feed became a ghost town and I thought to myself "why do I still have this?"

last piece of the puzzle for me is getting rid of whatsapp, where even today, i struggle to bring my loved ones away to something better, like signal.
