🚨📣 I deleted my Facebook today so I figured I should post a selfie to celebrate 👹! Technically, it's scheduled for deletion in 30 days because they are desperate for eyeballs and data. But whatever, I finally did it. I wasn't actively using it for 10 years now so, it doesn't have much of an actual effect on my life (lmao) but it feels good to truly kill it dead 🪦 🧛🏽‍♀️. I hope one day the rest of the Meta-slaves see the truth and GTFO. Until then, enjoy my tits 😘.

this was me ten years ago. I used that cambridge analytica scandal as the impetus to delete my account

the reality was that my friends (probably better described as contacts at that point) kept posting the most basic, inane shit that i ended up muting virtually everybody.
the home feed became a ghost town and I thought to myself "why do I still have this?"

last piece of the puzzle for me is getting rid of whatsapp, where even today, i struggle to bring my loved ones away to something better, like signal.

@Ourladyofpoetics and yeah, 10 years ago was when I stopped going on there lol. I kept getting into fights with strangers about racial injustice, police brutality, and Trump being disgusting.
