I love it that Mel starred in Alan Johnson’s remake of Ernst Lubitsch’s “To Be or Not to Be”.
Both versions of that film are so satisfying. We could definitely use a new version for today’s world.

They’re very similar in tone. It’s a loving, respectful remake. I like both equally. But just for the sake of history, I’d suggest watching the original first.
