Now I rejoice, not because you were made sad, but because you were made sad to the point of repentance. For you were made sad as God intended, so that you were not harmed in any way by us (2 Corinthians 7:9).

#Paul was very #happy and #thankful to hear how the Corinthian #Christians had responded appropriately to the "severe letter" he sent them.

They did not get angry with him.  They were saddened and chastened and repented, chastising the offender appropriately.

We will not feel good when chastised or disciplined, but how we channel our grief response dictates everything.

We can experience #godly #grief and repent, or we can experience worldly grief and succumb to anger and despair.

How can we channel our grief in godly and not worldly ways?
