That literally should not be a thing - every single doctor out there shouldn’t at all care about their patient’s sexual orientation.
I mean, I can see some specialities having doctors signal that they’re experience with things relating with gender transition, but beyond that, doctors as medical professionals have a professional duty to treat everybody the same independently of sexual orientation (and race, gender, religious beliefs, nationality and so on).
Further, doctors practicing Descrimination on their patients should be struck down as medical practicioners.

I’ve seen it mentioned for behavioral health places, and it makes sense to me in that case. If you’re going to be seeing a psychiatrist, or going into rehab, you’re probably gonna want to be sure that they’re not bigots
I can understand it if you want a therapist who is familiar with helping you through gender dysphoria. That experience in navigating those complex emotions would be useful.

Just so you’re aware, most of the Nazi ideology is based in a form of science and reason, yet it spread hate like nothing else. Eugenics is a way to use science to to fuel hate towards people for whatever characteristics you choose. Science is not immune to this abuse. Sure, it’s not as common as religion, but it’s something we will always have to look out for. Don’t think you’re immune because you don’t follow a religion. The small text on the back said they were by Focus on the Family. I scoffed, collected them all out of the wall holder thing, and threw them in the trash and the receptionist gave me a weird look.
A few minutes later she comes out and pulls them out of the trash can. She skims a few, frowns, and takes them to the back. I never saw those pamphlets in there again.

They’re typically used in real life situations, for example, when trying to figure out whether their coworkers are like-minded. Once they know they can get away with it, though … I have a few coworkers that will talk right-wing talking points practically non-stop. Another coworker and I have considered reporting them to HR, but all that would do is put a target on our backs; or at best, get them to silently hold a grudge against us. And it takes a lot more than office drama to get fired where I work.

I have several severe mental illnesses. So of course I’m in therapy. My therapist sends me up to psychiatric help who tells me my cannabis use is ok, but only as long as it is actually helping mental health. My therapist did not like that. She gave me literal DARE propaganda to review. My wife was luckily with me when this happened. The printout was dated back to 2002. I told her that all the information in that packet (several pages) was outdated, factually incorrect, and literally propaganda for the war on drugs. We never went back to her. I spent time without a therapist until I found one that is actually helping me and doesn’t judge me based on one of several medications for my mental health.
