This happened a while ago, the son was waving his dad’s severed head around on YouTube after bragging about it. All because his dad had been some low level federal employee.

But especially with how “ice” refuses to show ID, I’ve been worried we’d see more of these “citizen arrests” where crazy people try to arrest someone then “stand their ground” when their commands aren’t followed.

We can’t count on Trump’s FBI keeping tabs on this shit.

>Justin Mohn reportedly described a struggle between himself and Michael Mohn when the younger man told his father that he was placing him under a “citizen’s arrest.” >According to the AP’s reporting, Justin Mohn stated that his father told him he would kill him before he allowed him to do that, and a struggle ensued. Justin Mohn told the court, “Unfortunately, he resisted. I was hoping to perform a citizen’s arrest on my father for, ultimately, treason.” >Local news outlet WFMZ reported that Justin Mohn stated that he believed killing his father was legal under Pennsylvania law because he was defending himself while his father was resisting arrest.

After 8 years of the “victory fund” bankrupting state parties I’m glad to see the DNC focus on these neglected states again.

We can’t afford to keep robbing them for the presidential races

DNC and ASDC Announces “Organize Everywhere, Win Anywhere” Strategy – Largest-Ever Monthly DNC Investment into Democratic State and Territory Parties - Lemmy.World

From 4/24/25, but hadn’t heard about it: >Today, DNC Chair Ken Martin and ASDC President Jane Kleeb announced a historic “organize everywhere, win anywhere” strategy – a new four-year agreement to deliver more resources into Democratic state and territory parties than ever before – delivering on Chair Martin’s commitment to turbocharging investments in on-the-ground organizing and party building. Under the new State Partnership Program (SPP) agreement, each state party will receive a baseline of $17,500 a month, a $5,000 per month increase over the last agreement, and Republican-controlled states will receive an additional investment of $5,000 a month through the DNC’s Red State Fund, putting their total at $22,500 every month. The combined investments total a monthly transfer of more than $1 million from the DNC to state parties – the committee’s largest investment into Democratic state parties in history

This reminded me of when I was in the US military and had been talking to a German military psychiatrist while out to sea for a few months

Dude listened to what was going on, the environment I was in and what life was like…

Then acted all surprised that I was surprised how my body was reacting.

I was in a stressful shitty environment that there was no way to get out of. Doc said everything I was going thru was completely normal and natural.

And honestly, that helped more than anything else could have. Just having someone evaluate what was happening and to say “shits fucked you’re right”.

American psychiatric care is molded after mental health meaning doing anything possible to get as much resources as possible if you can’t get resources it’s a personal problem.

But in today’s America, it doesn’t matter who you are. You likely just can’t get enough resources and shits not going to get better soon unless we fix it. We’re at the point where an American not being depressed is a real sign of mental illness.

Video on how depression isnt always a personal problem. Sometimes it’s a rational response to the resource scarce reality we live in

Kenyatta is the other DNC vice chair who has to redo the election. I strongly suggest the full article, but here’s the important bit for people who won’t click the link:

“David has a very casual relationship with the truth,” he told host Symone Sanders Townsend. “And he has not been truthful on so many points that have been raised on this show.”

The Pennsylvania state legislator added that he’s “frustrated” with the decision to hold the election again given that he received considerably more votes than necessary to clinch one of the vice chair positions, but he respects it.

“But David’s first statement out of the gate was, here’s the Democratic Party doing some maniacal thing to push me out because of what he’s doing with his PAC,” Kenyatta said. “David knows that that is not true.”

“And so for all of the people who have, like I had, really high hopes for what David could bring for this party and who are now looking at the message that he’s been pushing out and the emails that they have been getting from him about how he wants to reform the party, you have to be honest with people,” he added.

I really don’t think that getting people to trust AI videos of court proceedings is a good idea long term…

Anyone can make AI say anything, but even something like making the AI use body language of a guilty/innocent person would I fluence people.

Like, this just seems to be opening the door to some real dystopian shit, especially if the current administration embraces it for things like deportations. They could just throw an AI “thug” filter on anyone they don’t like and their followers would eat up.

It seems like a boring use of AI, but the ramifications are dystopian as fuck.
