Children deserve to live.
The situation around Israel and Palestine is so fucking complex, that it's nearly impossible to say something about it without stepping in dogpoo in the subtext. Especially if you say simple one-sentence-statements.
The more I learn about it, the less I feel privileged to have a opinion about it.
Children deserve to live. But how do you save children's lives (Palestinian and Israeli ones alike) when all around them madmen try to kill other madmen by all means necessary?
How do you save children's lives, when the misogynic fascist Hamas tries to commit genocide on the Israeli people while the fascist Netanyahu and his goons act, like genocide is the only way to prevent it?
Children deserve to live.
But we must not forget, that there are two waring parties, that murder children.
Every human being deserves to live. Only talking about the children always makes me wonder, why the other innocents aren't mentioned. It feels a lot like emotional manipulation. It feels like it's not really about the death of innocents, but about trying to get people emotional so they don't think but simply pick a side.
I don't know how to deescalate the conflict. But I'm pretty sure, it's not by posting enraging oneliners on the internet.
@till Don't do that, keeping the same distance. The situation is bloody complicated, but basically Israeli children would be completely safe if Palestine was left alone and in peace. You can also compare the numbers and see who is in the worst side?
And consider, would Hamas exist at all without the land stolen and the genocide?
@tachan
Thanks for speaking up!
I can't deal with this shit after witnessing 2,5 years of genocide (and counting), so I just block them.
@uva
Fair enough. I still think that some people is just that they haven't got the opportunity to see both sides, but maybe I should start blocking too.
@tachan
I think it is good that you are replying, some people might just need a bit of a push to see reality for what it is.
The reason for my approach is to protect my own mental health.
