Imagine a world where we are expected to not speak out against child murder. Even I notice such posts I make receive only few interactions but let me make this clear: I will not stop talking about it. Children deserve to live! Free Palestine!

@stuffifound

Children deserve to live.

The situation around Israel and Palestine is so fucking complex, that it's nearly impossible to say something about it without stepping in dogpoo in the subtext. Especially if you say simple one-sentence-statements.

The more I learn about it, the less I feel privileged to have a opinion about it.

Children deserve to live. But how do you save children's lives (Palestinian and Israeli ones alike) when all around them madmen try to kill other madmen by all means necessary?
How do you save children's lives, when the misogynic fascist Hamas tries to commit genocide on the Israeli people while the fascist Netanyahu and his goons act, like genocide is the only way to prevent it?

Children deserve to live.

But we must not forget, that there are two waring parties, that murder children.

Every human being deserves to live. Only talking about the children always makes me wonder, why the other innocents aren't mentioned. It feels a lot like emotional manipulation. It feels like it's not really about the death of innocents, but about trying to get people emotional so they don't think but simply pick a side.

I don't know how to deescalate the conflict. But I'm pretty sure, it's not by posting enraging oneliners on the internet.

@till Don't do that, keeping the same distance. The situation is bloody complicated, but basically Israeli children would be completely safe if Palestine was left alone and in peace. You can also compare the numbers and see who is in the worst side?
And consider, would Hamas exist at all without the land stolen and the genocide?

@tachan
Thanks for speaking up!
I can't deal with this shit after witnessing 2,5 years of genocide (and counting), so I just block them.

@stuffifound @aral

@uva
Fair enough. I still think that some people is just that they haven't got the opportunity to see both sides, but maybe I should start blocking too.

@stuffifound @aral

@tachan
I think it is good that you are replying, some people might just need a bit of a push to see reality for what it is.

The reason for my approach is to protect my own mental health.

@uva Guess what, the genocide victims would also like to preserve their mental health, but they're starving because people like you can't be bothered to send them some money for food.

@tachan

There is so much, I want to say, but I also want you to read it.

I once tried to determine, when the conflict started and who started it.
It seems like it has always been there.
So no, I don't think the conflict would stop if Israel would just withdraw from the Gaza and the west banks.
And if the Hamas would not exist, another, similar group would.

I think it is important not to fall for the narrative of two sides where everyone has to pick a side.
The situation is more complex than that. Yes, in recent history, more civilians where killed by the IDF than by Hamas. But Hamas did kill civilians, too. They raped and tortured and killed children. I don't like either of them and I will not side with either of them.

The Israeli government is highly unstable and if Netanjahu loses the protection of his position, he will be tried for crimes he did. Not the war crimes, probably, but he will face some jail time.
So he clings to his position with everything he got. And an outside threat is an effective way to do that.
But his position is everything but stable. There is a good chance, that he will go away with the next elections.
But i am afraid, that undifferentiated hatred against Israel will strengthen his position.

@stuffifound @aral

@tachan It's not at all complicated. Netanyahu and his extremist colleagues Ben-Gvir and Smotrich want a Greater Israel, as Hitler wanted more Lebensraum. Trump wants to build luxury hotels where Palestinians currently live.

Palestinians are kept in outdoor prisons since about 100 years, and now they are slaughtered by those who want them gone for good (Israel and USA).

I don't see Palestinians dropping bombs on Israel every day.

Why the fuck do you say "It's complicated" when it's obviously a very one-sided genocide? As multiple international courts have already confirmed.

@till @stuffifound You’re policing my tone instead of condemning a genocide?

Fuck you.

PS. Guess what? It’s not the madmen. The madmen are a tiny minority. You know who allows them to get away with it? Both-sidesing assholes like you.

@aral And yet again it's a German.
