@KimPerales People think 1,000 sounds like a lot, it isn't. Taking Kharg Island won't open #straitofhormuz but it will subject US military personnel to a ton of missiles, drones, artillery fired from the opposing side and the resulting US body count will likely be quite high. And worse, it doesn't stop #iran opening fire on any vessel in the strait. Trump hasn't even considered how troops will be resupplied: do it via ships and traverse a minefield or do it by air and be shot down.

Nothing makes people rally around the flag more than seeing scores of dead body bags of their own side, which in turn manufacturers public consent for escalation.

In the beginning of #iranwar 165+ dead schoolgirls by US-Israel twice precision bombing a school, was the incident and rallying call that got Iranians to unite together and rally around their flag.
