Good morning! I’m not doing anything today other than napping and reading. It took about 2.5 hours for my Apple Watch SE 2nd gen to update and I didn’t get to bed until 12:20 so I’m tired. I’ll not do that again at night.

Wishing you all an awesome day filled with only good things, high energy and positivity! Be kind to yourself and those around you, hug tight those you love most and smile, you are loved and appreciated! 🤗🫶❤️🫂 #GoodMorning #Positivity #Tired

@blindquilter Yeah, that update time was ridiculous, wasn’t it? Im glad I started mine early in the evening.
@JensHannemann Very much so! I’ll wait next time and do mine in the afternoon.
@blindquilter Hi, and enjoy your quiet day! Now I know why I don't do device updates at night: not much fun having to stay awake to wait for one to finish!
@frog67 Thanks! Enjoy the rest of your day. Yeah, I’ve learned my lesson and will wait to update the watch from now on.
@blindquilter mine took a long time to update as well. I think it was a little after nine when I started, and it finished around 11. Sometimes it updates quickly, and other times it seems to drag. Very annoying, but it is done.
@kernsac @blindquilter I think updates take longer if they are done on the day they are released: I always wait till the next day to update my phone, or sometimes longer.
@kernsac That is so true and I prefer those short updates. If not for the fact I use my watch to wake me up in the night when my sugar levels are low, I would have just left it to update and gone on to bed.
@blindquilter quick tip. If your Apple Watch is taking forever to update, disable bluetooth on the watch. This will force the watch to use WiFi to download the update, which usually takes far less time. Just make sure your Apple Watch is connected to WiFi first.
@austinnix Thanks for that! I’ll make a note of it for the next time. I assume it would be okay to just do that for any watch update instead of waiting to see how long it’s taking?
@blindquilter correct. often, I will do that while my phone is updating, so I can go ahead and get the watchOS update downloaded and installed.
@austinnix Again, thanks for this tip! 😁
@blindquilter welcome. sometimes I come up with a good one.
