happily married with a grown daughter. Love sharing retirement with my husband and our dog.

Winner for best kids menu. 😆

In Front Royal, Va. on our way back home.

oops, my bad. I didn’t mean Apple vision, I meant Apple Intelligence.
is there anyone who, like me, has Apple vision enabled, and who has enjoyed asking chat gpt to describe pictures on Facebook so that we don’t have to download them in order to get them described? For the last couple days, chat gpt won’t describe pictures to me. I ask Siri to send a request to have a photo described to chat gpt, but I never get a response back. Chat gpt works for other things, but apparently not for having screenshots and photos described. Is this just me, or is it happening to other blind people as well?
Good #Sunday morning, Mastodonians. It will be maybe 2° cooler today, around 97 or something horrible like that, so it will be another early walk day. We have nothing else on the agenda though, so once we return to our cool house, that is where we will stay. :-) I hope it is a good day for everyone.
we had a wonderful time at our friends birthday party. We got home just in time for me to run in and change my shirt and head out to mass. Sweetie was delighted to see us, and when she saw us leaving again just a couple minutes later, she cried pathetically, so we stayed home. When we came back in the house she ran and ran and ran so excitedly! It is so wonderful to be loved that much by a dog!
Good #Saturday morning, Mastodonians. It will be a hot and busy day. Our temperature will be around 98 or 99°, which basically means 100°. We are going to get together with some friends to celebrate the birthday of one of them, and depending on when things and, I will probably go to mass afterward. We will have to head out soon for our morning walk while it is still cool, and I will have to get my workout and prayer and reflection times in before we go. So hold onto your hats! Off we go! I hope it is a good day for everyone.
Good #Friday morning, Mastodonians. We are going to get up to about 96 or 97 today, so an early morning walk is on the agenda. I am just trying to wake up with a cup of coffee first, and Dan is out puttering in the garage. I’m not sure what he is doing. Nothing else is on the agenda, so once we get back from our walk, we can hide under a rock to avoid the heat. I hope everyone has a good day.

I haven't done a proper introduction yet, so here goes ...

I live in the Seattle area and serve as a volunteer pastor at a non-denominational church in Bellevue, Washington. Our congregation is very international and I've attended the same church since I was a little kid, except for five years I spent helping to plant a church on the East Coast.

I really enjoy mentoring young men and feel that it's the one thing I can do that will have the biggest positive impact on society. I also lead our church's Sunday morning bible study where we slowly make our way through books of the Bible, a few verses each week.

My heroes are people who serve God's people faithfully and without big egos. I believe that one day, everything will be revealed including our hidden motives, and we'll all be surprised at who is first and who is last (meaning who has glory and honor from God).

I've been told that my online personality comes across as mean, but it's not my intent at all.

I'd love to connect with other people who are interested in bible study and theology, social justice, and becoming more holy in our lifestyle, etc.

My day job is product marketing at cybersecurity startups.

The Spectrum of Submission - Where Do You Stand?: https://danielmrose.com/2025/06/26/the-spectrum-of-submission-where.html

When you think about your boss, do you have positive or negative emotions? How about when you consider the reality of a hierarchy at your workplace or social institution? In general, do you think that hierarchies and their resulting authority structures are good and helpful, or do you see them as something to be bucked against?
