Another day in spring paradise here north of Bologna, Italy. Temperatures were just right for a splendid tour with the Brompton along the river Po. Saw plenty of pheasants trying to hide from me, and saw rabbits jumping around in typical Easter fashion. Nature is showing its happiness in full blow.

@kcposch I hope you haven't planned to travel back to Austria. Winter is coming back starting tomorrow.
@di0v0n Da muss ich jetzt durch. Freunde und Verwandte warten. 🙂
@kcposch Lovely! May I ask how you do your route planning? Favourite app/service?
@petergarner Thank you! I use the Android app BRouter. For navigation, I use Locus Map. Locus Map uses BRouter for calculating routes. Both apps work offline on my phone.
@petergarner Ok, here comes hopefully a somewhat better answer: For navigation, I use the Android app Locus Map. If I want to find a route from A to B, I also use this app. However, Locus Map itself uses the app BRouter for finding appropriate routes. Both apps run in offline mode.

@kcposch Cool. Thanks. I’d heard of BRouter, but not Locus. I see they’ve just had a first go at an iOS app, which isn’t as fully featured as the Android app. I’ll download it and check it out.

I’ve had reasonable success just using RideWithGPS for longer tours and cycle.travel for local routing, but I’m always eager to try new solutions, especially in areas that lack long-distance cycle routes.

@kcposch

Thanks for the BRouter suggestion , I’ve installed it and OSMand+ is using it for the calculations.

BTW , I love your inspirational touring toots , hope this adventure goes well and thanks for sharing.
